5 Types of Loft Beds

!±8± 5 Types of Loft Beds

Many people have begun to use wall bed inside their homes and other living spaces to reduce the amount of room taken up by their beds. These products are elevated above the floor and have a large number of different other furnishings underneath to further maximize space, usually in tight living spaces. These products are popular in dormitories, studio apartments, or in children's rooms. These greatly improve the amount of living space and come in a great many styles so that adults and children can have a look they like as well as the different amenities they need for their living space.

Desk Beds. Popular among students and children, a desk loft bed has a full desk underneath. This is usually in the form of a long desk that runs the whole length of the bed with a chair, which matches the look of the rest of the bed. Additionally, these products often have shelves and other amenities like keyboard tables to better improve their functioning for studying and work.

Bunk Beds. These products are not the traditional style of bed that has two beds exactly lined up. Instead, these products often have a bed that is perpendicular to the raised bed. This provides a greater amount of space for lower bed, which can be great for children sharing beds, but are of two different sizes.

Dresser Beds. These products are especially useful for reducing the amount of furniture in a room for tight living spaces. They allow all clothes and other types of materials to be conveniently stored without having to get entire pieces of furniture, which take up a large amount of space.

Combo Beds. Some of the more expensive models have both desks and dressers installed in them to allow the maximum use of space. Each of these different amenities is a bit smaller than the models listed above, however, but for younger people they are especially practical.

Couch beds. These products are popular with older people looking to make the most of their space. The units are completely empty underneath the bed, which allows a couch or any other furnishings to be stored underneath.

Any one of these types can be found in a wide variety of sizes and shapes to fit both the sizing and personal needs of the user. Additionally, most of these products come in different materials, usually either metal or wood, each with its own pro's and con's.
